Air-Trak's Cloudberry AVL offers three automatic vehicle location solutions. Each is low cost, simple to buy, install, and use.  Each one is tailored to meet specific fleet requirements.  All three solutions have the basic AVL components for communications from vehicle to dispatch, GPS positioning, and dispatch software to track and dispatch vehicles against a background street map.  The difference is in communications mode and messaging systems options.  The systems are outline below with details provided on separate Web pages.

TerraTrak

TerraTrak is an entry-level AVL product for vehicle tracking.  It was developed as a PC-base AVL tool for owners and fleet managers who want to improve  operations and reduce costs.  Fleet operators can monitor vehicles in real-time with maps displays that indicate the speed, heading, and GPS-determined location down to the street level.  The TerraTrak mobile unit receives GPS signals to determine location.  Vehicle location is transmitted to the Cloudberry servers using the national Cingular Wireless data network.  The real-time vehicle positions are then displayed on PC desktop street maps.  Users can replay and view routes traveled by any vehicle or the entire fleet on national, regional or metropolitan maps.

TerraTrak +

TerraTrak+ adds to TerraTrak an e-mail 2-way messaging feature .  A driver can compose a text message using the handheld Pocket PC. Once the Pocket unit is placed in its cradle, the message is sent. Messages can be received when the Pocket PC resides in the cradle. This allows a dispatcher or any other person to message to a specific vehicle.

DualTrak +

DualTrak+ provides all the features of the TerraTrak+ system plus satellite-based communications for 100% real-time coverage.  Land-based communications over the Cingular wireless network covers 94 percent of the U.S. urban population.  Satellite communications fills the voids where non-urban area communication coverage is needed for vehicle tracking, particular long haul carriers.
